Your trailer is legally parked. His trailer is also legally parked. I bet there is no local law that says a trailer gets two spaces- one for the trailer to occupy and another that must remain vacant in front of the trailer for the tow vehicle to attach to the trailer. I bet his trailer could be very close to your trailer just as two vehicles could.
You said it is on a residential street with no other houses around. Who would just park a trailer on a vacant street?
