I have 20 orange "lego" leveling blocks left by the previous owner. They work pretty good. The previous owner had them for 5 years without any issue and no cracks. But that is not the reason for my post.I found another use for them. I had to remove the blades on my lawn tractor for sharpening. I was able to drive the front wheels onto the "ramp" I made with the leveling blocks. Set the brake. Chock the back wheels. Crawl under the mower and change the blades. They sell a "lift kit" at the big box stores for $150+. Please. :rollingmyeyesThey can also act as a small lift for general use around the RV.

I take off the deck and clean it when I change the blades.

I think Harbor Freight has them for about $100. Now that I've been able to use a lift, I think they're worth every bit of $100 to $150. It'll go a lot higher than the lego blocks and allow you to do the work from stool or kneeling position.

I use offcuts of 2 X if I want to raise the mower. That or simply take the deck off.I guess the lego blocks are good for what they are intended. I like my boards. Buy warped ones cheap at a lumber yard. Get at least a few years use out of them. Have used them to get myself out of stuck situations. Used them as part of my lumber arsenal for blocking up trailer. When they finally split & are of no more use I cut them up for firewood.

I received some Lego-type levelers as a gift. Never used them, because I prefer my heavy-duty Camco tri-levelers.However, I am tall and have a bad back. I put a Lego block into the kitchen sink and set the dishpan on top of it. Having the dishpan higher helps reduce back pain.Now to find uses for the other blocks.

We use the leveling blocks (Lynx Levelers) to level the picnic tables at campsites also.

While daughter was away at college, belt tensioner on her car went out. Rather than lug huge floor jack or ramps down to her, we picked up set of Lynx Levelers and used to raise car to repair. They now reside in MH next to my Camco's.

Wish someone would convince my DW. Live in the desert S/W and she had me remove the rock, & cactus, plant grass & I have lost count on the flowers, trees, shrubs, bags of mulch, & top soil. Two trees and 3 roses just today and an 8ft truck bed full of soil supplements.

Me, I started to wax the 5W.

How about using the legos as a tire jack aka "trailer aid" for changing a flat ( must have tandem axles to do this )?

Lawnmower, what's a lawnmower? I landscaped with non living, inanimate objects. low maintenance and because we live in a desert, hard to convince folks that the L. A. basin in a desert but it is, and water is expensive and scarce.

Besides, I can go camping and not worry about keeping everything green.

You have much more faith in hardware than I. I've worked on large commercial mowers and there is no way I'd lift one in the air that high and work underneath it. Basically, because there is no reason to do so.
For blade removal, it's only necessary to lift the cutting deck high enough to get either an air tool and socket or wrench with socket on the retaining nut.

same as above, level tables, grill, made a small block to put extension cord on i a baggie to keep out of the rain, up under back wheels of truck when in a parking lot for the night and let hope this list goes on and on. I like the stepping stone idea, lets keep this going. Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !
