A chain, tow rope or tow strap would be OK to pull the trailer back a few feet (assuming there is room).
Should not be much of an effort, especially if the front jack has a dolly wheel.
If you were to go that route I think pulling the tongue out away from the curb would be safer with less risk of a runaway.
