If that was the case, manslaughter wouldn't be a crime.
Manslaughter is not a specific intent crime, it is general intent. Theft is a specific intent crime meaning there must be an intent to deprive the owner of the property. Moving a trailer doesn't not meet that element. Bigcitypopo is 100% accurate.
