hitch blocked by another trailer

I went to hitch up my trailer this morning and someone parked there 30 foot travel trailer about 10 feet in front of my travel trailer and blocked me. I didn't have time to mess with it but I only have about 10 feet of room and I don't think I can get my vehicle in there to hitch it up. Any suggestions? It's a 30 foot 5000lb travel trailer. It's parked on level ground. I don't think I'm going to be able to find the person that did it.

Moved to General RVing Issues forum from Towing.

  • It is parked on my street in a residental road but where there are no houses. It is legally parked.

Thats good to know. I wonder if they can move a 30 foot travel trailer though.

It can also be moved by a forklift like they do in storage.
  • The police won't move it, but they will call a towing outfit to move it for you...As long as you are parked legally you are covered and the owner of the other trailer will have to pay to towing company.

Is this at a storage yard?

Is there not a layout for where to park?

I agree with Sato4000, can you safely move the offending unit?

  • I was thinking about trying to hook up to his trailer. :) He might not like that though. I can try to get in at an angle. Hopefully I have enough room. thanks.
  • Do you have enough space to hook up at an angle? If you use weight distribution you could just hook it up after you get the trailer out of the tight space. Sounds 10 feet should be sufficient space to do so.
