Hitch set up

Hi all! Finally got another travel trailer and want to get the hitch set up. I had run the dual cam on my last trailer and loved it but this new Chevy truck I have has built in sway control. The trailer has a GVW of around 6,500 lbs so its not real heavy but,I do want a weight distribution set up with around 500 lb bars but with out any sway control. Just a basic WDH. Any hot tips on this set up. Pretty much an adjustable hitch with bars and the pull up clamps. Thanks!

No one needs a sway controller.............. till ya' do.

Yep. Just like a seat belt, safety glasses, or a motorcycle helmet.
  • A hitch with sway control will help stop sway before it starts. The sway control on your truck kicks in after the sway has started to help from losing control of the truck. If your relying on the trucks sway control, you're already in trouble.
