What he said, only thing you can do now is pull the drain plug and open the relief valve and hope you are not buying a new tank in the spring.
And if you only have one by pass valve, it means you have check valves which are prone to failure and are a PITA. I would replace the check valves with single throw shut off valves and never again worry about the heater tank. I replaced mine and it was one of the best mods I ever did. - D___MExplorerThis doesn't look good. Since you say you used a WH bypass, there should be no liquid in the tank to push out. And if you did use the bypass, there should be no antifreeze in the tank.

You did drain the water heater during winterizing?
I may have made an amateur mistake and put antifreeze in the HW tank. I know for sure that I did turn the bypass valves on though so the main lines shouldn't be leaking into the HW tank unless a valve has failed. I need to get inside and take a look at the situation. - sh410Explorer.
