Refuse to Pay - Not Happening. The insurance company doesn't get to deny coverage when you get in an accident except for Gross Negligence. Gross Negligence is a very high standard to rise to; and being over weight isn't Gross Negligence.
Absolutely the truth. Commercial or non-commercial the insurance company pays. We had a truck driver passing in a no-passing zone at twice the speed limit, hit a car making a left turn. The insurance company just says-the policy limit is $xxxxx. Who do we make the check out to?
Then your insurance is doubled in price or cancelled.
Is it safe to tow overweight? Everyone knows it is not, but that does not change the fact that the insurance company has to pay.
