All 3 of my slides have manual overrides, though on one of them it is kind of .. Well, not as easy as they suggest (Have used teh manual method on two of 'em)
I have two "Cable cars" these are pulled in and out by cables (A total of 8) if one cable breaks I had my traveling companion (WIFE) operate teh switch while I put my shoulder against it to run it in, used my foot and the switch to move it out, till I got the cable fixed, If teh motor or controller breaks you need
1 Flexible hex shaft (Like used for battery operated drill/screwdrivers)
One reversable drill or screwdriver drill
One #2 square bit
Tool to remove wood plugs from trim so you can remove screws (#2 square bit) so you can operate manual slide override (Drill/screwdriver and flex shaft)
On the big slide mine is a power gear rack and pinion
IFxxxxx when Shear pin breaks it's shoulder to the slide time bringing it in or out for that matter.
IF motor dies there is supposed to be a 3/4 inch nut on one end of the shaft.. Alas, not on mine. I do have the manual break release though.
Hydraulic,, SOME of them have a manual override some do not.
