Slideouts are deceptively simple things. Get underneath & have a look at what does what & what adjusts what in the operation of it. The weakest link is probably where all the weight is when they slide. Not likely to be a problem for the weekend warrior who only operates the slides a few dozen times a year but for the traveler operating the slides over a hundred times a year maintenance is the key. Still things are going to wear out eventually.
