Slide-outs are not an option for me:
So I bought this:
- Each slide-out can add >500 lbs to the weight of the trailer.
- In winter, they leak cold air in (I camp at -30°F).
- They add a lot of volume that must be heated/cooled.
- They are very poorly insulated.
- The extend/retract mechanism can freeze up.
- There are many, many more reasons why not …
