my BIL was wary of slideouts, bought his Allegro without any. got mad at the salesman for warning him of resale value, his widow found out how hard it was to get a decent price of a slideoutless motorhome. He also was worried about floor insulation of the slideout. we peeked at the underside of mine. he agreed that it would be a simple matter to glue some styrofoam panels up if it became a problem.
never bothered me. but that is one reason I always looked at RVs with the slides in to see how liveable they were that way.
