x2 on drilling some holes. Make it big enough and then just hang a picture over it when you have dried things out ---- seriously!
** Get the BIGGEST dehumidifier you can and run that thing 24/7 until you can't get anymore water out. We have dried out vintage TT's (birchwood interior) this way and IT WORKS. Regular fans just don't get as much out as the dehumidifier does.
