Here in Orange County homes with RV parking can be found at about the same price as ones without. My house doesn't have RV parking-I bought it long before I was interested in RVs. It is far cheaper to remain here and pay rent for storage than to move (I have no other reason/desire to move). All things being equal sure I'd like to store RV at home. RV parking is one of many facets of home location and desirability.
Ooops I see I already responded to this question back in Oct. pretty much the same way. I guess it pays to have a memory and read the thread more thoroughly.
In Orange County (CA) - they *can* be found, but they are few and far between.

You should have added....*if* you bought your house "way back when",
your taxes are based on when you purchased under Prop 13 - and limited to 2 percent increase per year.
Unless you're over 55, you can't transfer your existing property tax.
(You *can* do that -one time- if you sell, and purchase a home for the same price or less, than the house you sold - in participating CA counties, which includes OC)
Soooooo - w/o that benefit, even buying a different home (for the RV access) will cost you one percent (or more) of the selling price of the home in property taxes.
Purchase a home for $500K (if you can find one in OC), and you will pay $5k in annual property tax.
What that means - the OP may be paying say $1,000. a year in property tax, and his neighbor (who recently purchased *his* home) may be paying $5,000. property tax (or more) for the exact same home, lot size, sq ft, etc.
It is what it is - and makes paying the storage fees a bargain!..;)
