Solar isn't for everyone.
Probably the $750 system is poorly designed. It should still do a marvelous job between trips for battery maintenance. It it isn't, then there is something wrong with it.
Start a thread about it--perhaps it can be improved?

Personally, if I had it to do all over again, I would save the $750.00 or so the solar panels were as an option and spend that money on fuel for the generator. Solar never worked for my RVing style.
