How often to clean the bathrooms?

Just trying to get some input from other people's experience.

I hosted at a park that had 16 sites. The bathhouse was fairly new, maybe 2-3 years old. They were all ADA compliant. They locked from the inside. They were unisex. Each unit had a sink, toilet and shower. There were 2 drains in the floor. Between the wall of the shower and the sink there was a wall with a very small lip to keep the water on the shower side.

Even after 1 person took a shower, inevitably water would track over to the other side. Then a camper would come in to use the toilet and leave muddy footprints. Other than the floor, the bathhouse was clean. On days when it rained it really looked bad as the floor was always muddy.

I'd mop 2-3 times a day. But no amount of mopping would allow me to stay on top of it. I spoke with the hosts from the previous year and they had the same challenge with the water and mud.

I know bathhouse cleanliness is important. Has anyone else here run into this type of bath/shower set up? I asked for matts to be installed in front of the doors but that idea was shot down.
  • I have no experience on the host side of things, but as a camper, mud on the floor is something I wouldn't give a second thought to. I'm camping after all, not staying in a hotel. I always wear slippers or sandals to the showers, just common sense in my opinion.

Sounds like you're doing a fine job.
