How to tow our Wrangler?
Hi,
We are driving a Dodge RAM 3500 and carry a truck camper (with no overhang). The truck camper is light for the truck as it is built for a 1/2 ton truck. So, going forward, we would like to tow our 2002 Jeep Wrangler (2-door) behind the truck; thinking that towing a small car like a Wrangler isn't a problem for the Dodge truck; to be able to use it for some offroading and getting to places we can't reach with the truck and camper combination.
How do we do this? I have seen several different ways of towing a vehicle behind an RV and I wonder what are the good/bad things of each. For example, I've seen a system attached to the Jeep that hooks into the towing system on the truck/RV; or a dolly where the Jeep drives its 2 front wheels onto; or a dolly where the entire Jeep drives onto during towing.
Based on how inconvenient it is to have a full car dolly with you on the campground, even when the Jeep is not on it, I would prefer the simpler/smaller towing solutions; not too mention to keep it as low cost (but sturdy and reliable) as possible.
Any advice?
