Hydraulic levelers to change tire

I was wondering if you can use the hydraulic levelers to raise a Class A RV so you can change a tire? If the rig have a flat tire would the rig be to low to allow the ram to swing down? If it did would it rise high enough the remove the tire?

Thanks

Buster

  • I have raised the rear wheel off ground with the jacks on my Super C. Blocked front tires. But it is not a safe practice. I would never get underneath MH when in this position.
  • I have levelers on my C and have lifted both ends for wheel removal when I bought new tires. My levelers are Big Foot and have no problems with lifting the motorhome.
  • I had to do this once for the outside tire on the dually. I have a 33 foot class c. I know they weren't made for this but, I didn't have many options. I put wheel chocks under the front. Everything was fine. I have big foot levelers.

no, no, no. they aren't made for that!

    X10!
  • My Newmar you can for a front, but not the back. It won't raise a rear wheel because of the safety of not having a park brake on the front
