Yeah, the whole tone of that other thread rubbed me the wrong way. It seems every recreational activity has a set of "purists". For boaters it's sailors vs. power boaters, then within sailors it's lake sailors and ocean sailors and within ocean sailors it's bay sailors and blue water sailors. Look, do you like to spend time on the water? Then, that's all that matters.
Then there's the "I hiked the entire length of the Appalachian Trail". But you have to pronounce it correctly otherwise you really didn't do it.
I get real tired of people who judge my life based on what their idea of what my life should be, and then keep pushing when it's obvious that I'm ticked off. I have a special term for them. It starts with A and ends with hole.
