Another good reason for the cab or other public transportation. If you need something but not ready to break camp, they are an option.

The bummer thing about not having a tow vehicle is, if you need to go to the store for something, and it's not within walking distance, you have to break down ( put everything away ) in order to drive the coach. That's where a bicycle comes in handy.

As far as RV Park rates, you get a break for weekly sites. Monthly and seasonal sites are much cheaper. Consider joining Passport America, and if you are over 65, you can get a senior pass that gives you 50% discount on National Park, BLM, and other camp spots.

Parking while in transit... We are much more comfortable staying at Cabela's, Lowe's, Home Depot's/ Menards, and casinos vs. Walmart.

A lot depends on your physical ability to get somewhere. If you can use a bike, or walk for a few miles with groceries, often it's all you need. Sometimes you have to pack up and put away things, and disconnect to go get supplies. In our times with B+ units and campers, we found that we would really try to remember to pick up what we needed before heading out. But if you plan on long term parking, be close to what you need.

I prefer a Van and a TT; the TT becomes my county home and I drive around in the van. I can carry all the "toys" (motorcycle/bicycle/kayak) in/on the van.

To me, a Class B is a bit small, although a B+ maybe be tolerable.

We had a 23' B+. It was pretty easy to use without a towed vehicle. If I was solo, I'd have something like that, or a Class B van.

Not having a toad when in a class B is no problem, as they are so nimble & maneuverable.
