installing SuperGlide 3300 into new Ram 3500
I am trying to determine if I can fab an adapter frame to make my SuperGlide 3300 5th wheel hitch fit into a 2016 Ram 3500 with the factory hitch prep package. Pullrite's solution is a combination of two adapters which will raise the hitch significantly, and that is not a reasonable option in my opinion.
My questions are:
Has anyone else done this yet?
What are the center to center dimensions of the four puck locations in the Ram factory prep package (front to rear, and side to side)?
What is the relationship of the puck positions relative to the rear axle centerline?
What is the minimum clearance between the truck bed and the bottom of a Pullrite 4439 frame adapter?
From some initial crude measurements, it appears to me that the center of the rear Super Rail tube needs to be about 4 inches to the rear of the rear two pucks and the front SuperRail needs to about 13-1/16 to the rear of the front two pucks (or 17-1/4" ahead of the rear pucks).
Thanks for any input
