Allstate will definitely raise your rates. My take would be to claim the loss and look for another insurance company. My recent experience with Allstate has been sour as they cancelled my homeowners insurance saying my shake shingles had dry rot. This occurrence happened without any prior notice and was in the middle of this winter. Needless to say I cancelled them after 25 years as a policy holder.
My son had a small accident $1500.00 after many years without and accident. His Allstate policy rates went up significantly.
