- RoyBExplorer III would definitely paint a beer can pull tab on the front door hehe...
Roy Ken - HandbasketExplorerThat's thinking 'way outside the box! Beats a traditional tent / popup camper, IMO. Color me impressed!
Jim, "Eschew obfuscation." - The_Dung_BeetleExplorerAh... but if someone from a beer company custom painted it to look like their brand of beer.. it would be a crack up for company use.
Talk about a roving logo that would command everyone's attention!
Yep.. looks a bit SHY on storage space...and where's the potty?
. - vic46ExplorerThat would be the picture beside "ugly" in the dictionary!
- Corkey05ExplorerThere's sure nothing wrong with thinking outside the "Box".
After I got past being impressed I started looking for those little things that make an RV practical ... like storage, furnace, refrigerator, air conditioning, propane tanks, holding tank access, Awnings, etc. I'm sure a lot of those are there, but the way it closes up sorta makes traditional utilities and appliance's a trick to install.
Also missing was the weight, but maybe I missed it.
That said ... it's still a COOL looking "beer can". :) - WoodGlueExplorerOne has to wonder why all this innovation is all happening in Nordic countries, the UK and other European countries. These don't appear to be prototypes either for the most part. I wish that half of what Robert Ryan showed us on RV.net made it stateside.
Some of the Australian RV's are durable, clever and look to be very well made.
What's wrong with the United States that we aren't trying to build anything other than Jaycos, Cedar Creeks, Lances, Forest Rivers, Thors....?
WoodGlue - The_Dung_BeetleExplorerI told my hubby it looked like a 55 gallon drum someone squished. I still think it's super clever.
But... the basic rule of thumb.. DON'T be the first to buy one...LOL Let someone else work out the kinks.
. - mlts22ExplorerIf I were looking for a small trailer, I'd consider something like that. However, with all the pieces having to fit together, I'd be afraid of leaving a drawer open and having damage when trying to get hitched up and out. Plus, it would have to be expanded if one needed to use the bathroom. Of course, there is balance and water tank size as well.
- downtheroadExplorerWhoever makes those shouldn't quit their day job...looks like a beer can.
- The_Dung_BeetleExplorerI think that is just beyond neat! That's a lot of synchronized components and hopefully the constant jarring of long road trips wouldn't mess it up.
It's always a hoot to see a design that steps outside of the box.
Would love to see that at an RV show!
Thanks for posting that!
