I want to be able to make coffee while boondocking. According to what I saw it uses over 1200 watts while brewing, which a few other things do as well such as the toaster. There may well be other standard AC decives, which is why I want an inverter. Coffee is important! So from that standpoint it seems a 2000 watt inverter is necessary if I want it.
Until just recently I wasn't aware that an inverter wasn't necessary when an external source (120 v) was being utilized. Maybe its information overload as the various videos and blogs have mostly stated needing these things, and that replacing the converter was necessary to keep from ruining your batteries. This kind of info makes one believe the odds are what comes in it is about worthless if you are plugged in a lot.
