Inverter Charger vs Individual Components
To be able to run the A/C and a major appliance at one time I'll need no less than 3000 watts. I'm either not understanding properly or something as I'm understanding that I'll need an inverter charge...

We have an inverter charger so we can use ac appliances/outlets while dry camping. We only use our onboard generator to charge the batteries. That said, when we installed our inverter/charger, we left the converter in place but unplugged. It will be available if something happens to the inverter/charger.
