I am 81 and have decided to give up towing and traveling South for the winter. It is not because I can not drive and tow safely anymore but because I am too stiff and hurting for all the bending and things required to set up and take down the rig and do all the necessary things that come with travel via trailer.
My wife and I have had a good run (over 60 years) together and camping so it is now time to park the trailer in my sons beautiful family campground in the northern Michigan woods and use it as our "summer place" until we no longer can freely move about.
As far as letting this thread run, I think it is because of two main reasons.
1. It does not violate any of the forum rules.
2. Members, including me, are having fun with it and are enjoying most of the responses which have been civil and often very thoughtful.
