- Bob_ShawExplorerShoot no! At 72, if I stopped towing my trailer, I'd have no way to carry my motorcycle. And I don't like to sleep in a tent. Sleeping in the trailer's my concession to getting older.
- olfarmerExplorer IIWOW, I just retired from farming, I am used to driving huge combines and 4WD tractors with implements that total over 60 feet long and 50 feet wide. It doesn't bother me a bit to drive my 30 foot MH pulling my Jeep, when it becomes too much I am sure that I will know, but NOT YET!!! I am 72 and hope for 10 more years!!! :W :B

I think maybe if you drive a motorhome at 70 you are safe, but pulling anything behind it is not safe.

So is this thread ONLY about Supercharged and his funny ways of charging up the posts? If so I find it funny, yet disturbingly not funny :) :) :)
I don't think Supercharges posts are meant for any kind of serious comments. - rexlionExplorerI met a couple in Yosemite, driving a Sprinter van and towing a little Scamp trailer. They were in their upper 80s and moved around verrry slowly, but still enjoying themselves. The husband said he figured on quitting when he hit 90.
- WalabyExplorer IIToo funny... I bet/believe he's talking speed, not age.
Good one.
Mike - DallasSteveNomad III wonder if anyone will complain if someone tries to hijack this thread which was started to stir up controversy. Here is a link to the semi-famous Sit Down/Stand Up Test. It judges fitness and predicts how much longer you will live. At 60 I can still score a perfect 10.
Sit Down/Stand Up Test
If you can score an 8 or better then you are qualified to tow a vehicle. (Just kidding) - mgirardoExplorer

One of our neighbors at our seasonal camp site is 85 years old. He drives from his home in FL to the campground in NJ in a 40' Diesel Pusher towing a Chevy HHR. He's getting up there in age, but he still gets around.
I don't think it is a question of age, as long as the person can still physically drive/tow.

I'm 73 year old now, driving a 29 ft. Ford 450 MH. but thinking of pulling a car next year. Carry a 400 Honda along now on the rear.
Thank you for the details. I see that you still don't have a Diesel. I was afraid you were going to let me down.
