If you travel in the Western states nothing beats the Benchmark series of atlases.

Agreed; Benchmarks are the best. Amazon has some, but they may not be the latest edition; check the publication date of the desired state against the atlases on the Benchmark website.
One caution about ordering from the Benchmark website: the order page, *including credit card information*, does not show as "secure"! One could try contacting the company about this issue; you may have better luck that I did, i.e., nobody ever answered the phone. :h
