Interesting subject & one that hits close to home where we do not have city water. We don't have a well either. Our water comes 100% from the sky, onto our roof, then channeled into a 30,000gal tank under our house where it supplies the house through our own pressure system.
Water use is a hot topic when we go through dry spells. Lawns are never watered. Taps are not left on. Water conservation is bred into us.
During our boating days we had a 115gal tank & figured 12gal per person per day without being really careful with frequent quick rinse off showers after a saltwater swim.
With the 5er, 100gal tank, we can get by for a week without being super careful with water & not using CG restrooms. With only a little effort many could get by with a whole lot less water than they use without going to extremes.
