Never could understand why some people will brush their teeth with the water running constantly. It take 10 drops of water to make your tooth brush wet, and a mouth full of water to rinse. Yet they will leave the water run for 5 minutes while they are brushing. Such a waste. How do I know? Well, I've spent my fair share of time in campground bath houses!
In the Army we got a canteen cup of water to do the morning shave and wash. It can be done.
Yea! I served my time too. We learned to take a complete bath with our metal cups for brushing teeth and our "steel pot" (helmet's without the liner) as our bucket. That's all the water we got for an entire bath and that bath had to last 2 or 3 days. I mentioned this once on one of these forums some time ago and got negative responses, some folks thought I was just pull smoke out of the air. Today's Army may be more wasteful and wrap themselves around technology, but us older timers, I think we'd be the real "survivalists". If it really warranted it, I have no problem covering myself with mud to keep mosquitoes off.
