Does not work with all axles. Jacking is better.

Thanks for the replies. I think with the equalizer between the springs if I drive the good tire onto a block (raising it) the flat one will be pushed down by the equalizer. Lifting under the axle at the spring on the "flat" location will raise the flat and try to lower the good tire which can't go anywhere. Net result should be a flat tire off the ground. BTW, I don't know who "they" are but all they seem to do is confuse me :?. Thanks for helping me work it out.

Believe it or not you should look in your owner's manual. Different trailers with different axles should be jacked up differently.

Or - use a Trailer Aid as mentioned above to drive one of the tires up on to lift the bad tire off the ground.

I use a Trailer Aide. Never had a problem. Can be found a camping world or any other RV supply.

Not to dispute that idea but I recently read on another forum about a guy that tried that and because his trailer was so heavy it just pushed the springs up and the tire never came off the ground.
That way will work as long as the trailer springs aren't maxed out IMO.

The absolute best place I know of for lifting a wheel for tire change is either the axle, DIRECTLY UNDER THE SPRINGS using a cradle topped jack or if the springs go UNDER the axle (Which is often the case) the bracket under the springs... That's where I live everything if I can. Only use other lift points if I'm not changing tires.

Close enough. Try it and see if it works if you have questions. Check with the expert wannabes that say use the axle or axle components instead of the frame and see if they are going to pay for damages for following their personal opinion. I had to pay for my own damages.

Like said, jack under the axle but ONLY AT THE SPRING PACK. Jacking under the axle anywhere else can cause damage.
