Keeping Mice Out
Been working on sealing up any openings in the underside of the trailer that mice could use to get in. I've sealed up numerous gaps between the frame and the coroplast panel. I still have two openings...

Make the seal OD large enough to cover the frame opening everywhere as the rod travels. Now make a hat like cover for your ring large enough for for your seal ring to move throughout it's range of movement. You could use thin plywood for this and screw or epoxy this part to the frame rail. This then has a cover ring which captures your seal ring. My husband was talking about doing something like this. We have used the steel wool for years but sometimes we forget. Our cats had to be put down this past spring and we have had a number of trespassers since then. We are in the country and I never realized how many mice the cats were killing! The sticky traps have been the best at keeping them from taking over.
