Kitchen faucet not working

Ok so here it goes. A few months ago, my family was camping in our fth whl. The rv was hooked to "city" water. My wife was doing the dishes when all of a sudden the faucet stopped flowing. Both hot and cold. All the other faucets work, including the exterior shower. We left it off then it worked but soon stopped. So here is my question, anyone here experience this and have a solution? I'm willing to do some climbing or crawling around to fix the issue, so any help would be very appreciated. Oh btw the faucet is an after market blender type, you know only one valve to turn on etc.etc. it has an extension hose also, but I can't remember what the brand name is. Thanks in advance.

Had to clean the screen on the vanity faucet a couple months ago. This was on a fairly new trailer so it can happen unexpectedly. found small rocks in the aerator.
  • I had the same problem but with a faucet that had a separate sprayer. I could not solve the problem so I replaced the faucet with a new one. That solved the problem but I was curious as to why the problem existed so I started to take the old faucet apart. What I found was that the sprayer had a diverter valve that was stuck. This valve allowed water to go to the sprayer. If your faucet has a spray and stream setting, then this may be the problem.
  • Thanks all, for your replies, I will check and get back ASAP. Thanks again

  • Don't just clean the aerator, remove it. You'll have better flow and no more issues.
  • If the aerator is clogged with white powdery residue, service the anode in your water heater (if it has one). The anode disintegrating releases that powder and it clogs up stuff. If you have an anode, never ever allow RV antifreeze into the water heater. It just kills the anode and makes a huge mess.

  • I have kitchen faucet flow problems every now and then also. I do as above, and also soak the faucet head in vinegar overnight.
  • Both hot and cold come into the faucet, so if neither has a flow the only common thing is indeed the screen in the faucet tip. Unscrew everything from the head and check there. Before you put it back together, try both hot and cold and let us know what you find.
