    Yes and .... perhaps.

In my case the "New" faucet coded the hot and cold lines by "long and short" so I had to add a bit of flex hose to make it all fit..

But normally NO, nothing special needed, they are standard off the shelf faucets or knock offs made more cheaply. I changed brands (The original was a Delta immitation) which is why I had to adapt.

Yes on 4 different trailers...no special fittings.
  • I replaced more than just the leaky faucet the fiberglass sink was showing its age. DW said if your going to change it I want one like in the house, a composit granite. Had to enlarge the hole for the standard size sink and reinforced the counter top. Happy wife, happy life.
  • My travel trailer has a very thin metal, stainless steel kitchen sink. I replaced the lousy oem faucet with a single lever type faucet. It works perfect, but the action of lifting on that lever actually flexes the entire back of the sink. If I have to do it again, I will figure out a way to stiffen that area.
  • I have replaced the kitchen fixture in my last two motorhomes. Both of them required adapters. No problem, just a standard brass fitting.
  • As I have posted before. Finding a replacement faucet is easy. Just make sure the centers are the same. Installing it in an RV requires a 20 year old body with 50 years of experience.
  • No special fittings needed. The only problem can be lack of area to work in, but that is a problem with any faucet you put in. We did kitchen and bathroom with stuff bought at Home Depot
  • I have replaced my bathroom faucet with one from Lowes. There are no special fittings involved. It should be the same connection as any residential faucet.
