Thanks for the advice. The knee that has gone bad was put in during 2006. My other knee was done in 2011. I will ask about the metal but after having 2 already I assume there is no problem. My surgeon is stating that this surgery will take longer and he is worried about problems with the bone. The original lower plate was put in at a slant so he will have to correct that. The surgery won't be until Feb so I will spend that time building muscle and stretching.
