Wishing you the very best in your recovery!!! I, too, recommend a fan.....the radio may be MORE of a problem.....the music/talk shows can be stimulating...and keep you awake. The fans have a steady noise -- called white noise. And as other said, talk to your doctor or the physical therapist. Ear plugs may be a problem to insert in the left ear......especially if you don't have use of your left hand.
And don't worry so much about your typing....I think you're doing amazing considering what you've gone thru!
