You know I am having trouble with the site today, freezing and dropping out… I honestly don’t know if I was deleted again (no one said anything and it was the same time I had site problems) or it was a site failure, so here it is again…
if I was deleted, while it would be nice to know, I don’t know why, so I guess you can just do it again…
Just how is this a Lippert failure??? It is very unusual that the bearing would go bad in 5 hours without some prior warning… especially after 3 years of use… then to fine the other bearing is also bad and the bearings were serviced takes it even farther out of Lipperts ball park…
You spent $2400 out of pocket to repair an axle!!!??? And you want reimbursed for this $2400 somehow!!! How did you justify the $2400 expense to anyone???
It seems Lipperts $100 good will contribution on a customer service item should be appreciated instead of slamming them…
The same for the reimbursement from easy care, that I would bet does not cover bearing failure from lack of lubricants or improper installation…
if they accept for the sake of good will the axle had bad bearings on both sides, the $250 reimbursement would seem to be reasonable…
Prime time offered $245… what was the offer meant to cover… have they admitted the trailer was sold with the wrong axles as you seem to allege??? I don’t see any other way they would be responsible without it being under recall…
You changed from a 3300 axle to a 5200 pound axle that would require 3 inch hardware and maybe different springs, drums, and brakes, to make the change worthwhile…
But no matter how you cut it I don’t think you could really justify the $2400 to repair or replace one bad axle, even a complete axle , I doubt you have shown responsibility to be on Lippert, Easy Care, or primetime, but have or will be receiving good will compensation from all of them, then rip all of them…
You also seem to place absolutely no responsibility on who ever serviced the axles for the past three years even going so far as to absolve them…
What am I missing??? Am I missing something???
Now, I would not doubt this was caused by an inferior Chinese made bearing use by Lippert, but you need to show that was the cause somehow… hard to do after they were run for three years…
