I'll run the possibility of buying groceries here by my family to see what they want to do. I kind of like the idea of getting the rv fridge cold a few days before and then packing it with everything the night before leaving. Then turn the fridge off right before we leave.
I don't know how long the trip will be from Long Island to Lake George but I'm considering something in the neighborhood of 6 hours. Just a rough guess. We plan on pulling over for a bit halfway through the trip just to relax and maybe have a quick bite and use the facilities. That would make a great opportunity to fire the fridge up on gas to keep things cool while we are stopped and then turn the fridge off again before finishing the trip there.
Any other suggestions on shops, restaurants and other activities to do up there?
