Leaky Toilet Fix
At least it appears to be fixed - 2 days now and still holding. Vinegar & baking soda. Posting because my search for a fix went back to (2010?). Toilet seal wouldn't hold water last year, would leak...

When water evaporates from the bowl it leaves behind all the minerals that were in the water. So don't let the water evaporate. I either float mineral oil on top of the water or cover the commode with Sarah rap. Both work very well at keeping the water from evaporating therefore keeping the seal soft and pliable.
