I cut a half dozen pieces of 2 X 10 lumber to 18 inch lengths, rounded the edges with a router, stained a redwood color, and added 1/4 inch diameter rope handles.They are easy to manage with the handles and can be used at any position for leveling or under the landing gear of stabilizer jacks. You learn from experience how many boards are needed for leveling by the bubble position on the outside level indicator.
I don't get too anal about perfect level. Close enough is good enough for a short term stay at any location.
