Old Biscuit; My tanks set empty and dry all winter except for a bit of antifreeze down at the valve. The key here is to ENSURE you fully flush the black tank leaving no residue in the bottom. As to the grey tank there should be no solids in the tank to begin with to build up on the bottom, plus all the dish/washing machine soap will keep it nice and clean to begin with.
