Yes it worked perfect without any mess! Thank you all very much for your suggestions and help!
I'm happy it worked for you. Changing out the valve is a snap. Have fun.

Yes it worked perfect without any mess! Thank you all very much for your suggestions and help! - VulcaneerExplorerTry wrapping some monofilament fishing line (or string) very tightly around the threads on your rod. Coat it with super glue. Let it dry. Clip the ends close.
Then push it through the hole and see if you can screw it (with a little pressure) back into the valve blade. Might give you enough strength in the threads to open the valve. - saulfun1971ExplorerNo we haven't done it yet but maybe today. Back home to Florida and it rains here everyday so we will try this afternoon if no storm
- LynnmorExplorerCall a local septic tank pumper and see if he can pump out the tank thru the toilet.

Black water valve handle and rod both pulled out of valve and possible mess in future. Please help any suggestions??
Is that thing you call the rod, the cable that leads to the enclosed underbelly to the valve? :h
If so once I got to the valve I would try clamping onto the end of the valve rod that the cable attached to and then tappy tap with a small hammer to see if I could slide the stuck valve open. - nomad297Explorer

Thank you all! WE will try that. And yes it could get messy.lol
If you can't change the valve right now, you should be fine opening and closing the black water valve using the old hole and the new hole. The hole will not leak once the gate is closed. This should get you by until you are more prepared to replace the valve.
