Handles can only be flipped across door when in transit for those rigs.
Besides......most folks have found hat the handle does not prevent door from being pushed open.
And if it does..just round off top of 'U' on bracket so handle is easy to move from travel position
I also like K.I.S.S. vs reinventing.
I agree knocking that edge off would make a big difference. Probably the ones that can get locked in have the handle mounted too close to the door increasing the leverage required to over come the spring.
