Looking for a durable air mattress

We've used all manner of air beds over the years. The Aero beds are nice but we also used the cheap $20 Intex air mattresses. Never cared for the sleep number system. . . just didn't like sleeping in a trough. After I had back surgery and got all fixed up, we bought a foam mattress that is absolutely wonderful. It is a Dynasty we bought from Amazon for about $275.

We use this on our hide a bed. Guests say it's very nice. $156 on AMAZON, it has air chambers so you don't roll into the middle. Electric inflate/deflate.

Take a look at Air Dream. They are made for hide-a-beds. They have different sizes. I used one for several years on our hide-a-bed, it held up well, no leaks, inflates and deflates fast and very comfortable.

I am my 5'5 160 lb. Klymit Static V Lightweight Sleeping Pad works well for me. It felt strong enough that I blew it in 8 strong breaths. I am a side sleeper. I guess all my extra weight pushed my upper part of the air to my hips and provided more cushioning.

If you're cold sleeping on an air mattress, you're doing it wrong. With a mattress pad and a cover sheet I find it quite comfortable. As any Boy Scout can tell you, the insulation under you is as important as the insulation on top of you.

If you want to be cold it is simple. Just sleep on an air mattress.

For twins, if they are close enough to each other, I would be looking at used king sleep number.

Our RV has rear twin beds that are not next to each other, so they must be twin mattresses.

I've had a Klymit inflatable for 3 years now, it's been on a few dozen weekend trips and a few week long campouts. It's comfortable from 20 to 95 (or as comfortable as you can be at 95 with just a battery powered fan). Definitely much, much more durable than any of the other inflatables I've owned. Unfortunately it might not be great for a twin bed application as the one I have is 30" and the double wide is 48". We bought our queen sleep number off craigslist for $300. It was basically new, couple had bought it and didn't like it, they stopped sleeping on it. For twins, if they are close enough to each other, I would be looking at used king sleep number. I have seen several on CL for less than $500.
