Downtheavenue, you're correct, I didn't read your post completely.
However, telling the op to slow down from 65 is not the answer. And btw, trailer tires don't go away over 65mph either. A lot of light duty trailer tires are M speed rated which is 81mph iirc.
And even if I didn't believe that, the 10s of thousands of miles pulling many different trailers down the open road at 70-80mph tell me different.
I don't wish any ill will on anyone towing a trailer, but the notion that exceeding 65mph is unilaterally considered dangerous is crazy.
