Friend with a major problem

WE have a friend who was heading south last week and had the water pump on their Class C fail. When they came out of shopping in Kentucky, there was a flood of coolant under the RV. They had it towed to a local garage and there a new water pump was installed. Due to coolant mixed with the oil, the garage had to change the oil and oil filter also.

With the pump repaired, they headed south again, only to find that they were losing oil at an alarming rate. When they stopped, the side of the camper was covered with fresh oil. They had it towed to a garage in Tennessee and the engine was pronounced dead. A new engine change would run more than $7000.00, which is more than the camper is worth.

I would think that the original garage should bear a good portion of the cost, since it seems that their negligence caused the problem.

Any Ideas???
