This is not advice, it is criticism.
I would try to get my money back. Tell the dealer you are prepared to go public as you paid them to do a service that either they didn't do (breach of contract) or they did poorly. Also tell them you are now on this Forum and will spread the word of how they handle the situation, good or bad. If the dealer balks, go to your state's AG's office or a consumer protection advocate. Look up other complaints against this dealer and use that as ammunition. A last resort would be a lawyer as they are very expensive.
