I put down powder once to check the trails and found a snake trail going across the floor - decided it would be better for me to not know what might be lurking around the floors after dark.
Might had been a mouse dragging a snake maybe...
Best thing I found to do on my trailer was turn on all the inside lights after dark and crawl around under the trailer looking for lights shinning through the cracks etc...
Almost all of my problems were associated with cables going the floors inside the cabinets. Seems the manf likes to put 2-inch holes and maybe only two or three DC cables going thru them...
My OFF-RoAD POPUP was the worse case ever. I installed PVC Electrical boxes with weather tight lids (LOWES) upsidedown under the floors and connected all of the access ports with 3/4-inch flex PVC tubing. I then cut a large hole in the center of each PVC Electrical Box to gain access to the topside of the trailer floor. This sealed up all of the two-inch holes I could find. Also got to route all of my DC CABLEs under the trailer in a very protected manner. No more dragging my cables off when being pulled through the underbrush on my off-road trips back in the woods somewhere.
looks something like this drawing showing my cable access points in BLUE.
