We had them coming up the power cord. We were catching about one a day right next to the power cord in the basement. We HAD a permanently attached power cord (you know where you pull it out of that dark recess - then you have this little door with a little hole it in that an army of mice can march in)
I cut the cord off, installed a twist/lock connector in the door and sealed the door shut. No more problems.
