- JaxDadExplorer IIIIt’s been against the law to drive slow in the left lane for many, many decades in Ontario.
Is it enforced, nope.
If they would just spend a little time and effort on education there would be a LOT less ‘road rage’ and congestion on our roads. - valhalla360Navigator

After being on the books for a year, a local news station did a story about it and found that not a single citation had been written anywhere in the state.
Yea, not too many cops wanna make traffic stops in the rain to write a citation for it... I don't blame them.
Cops don't like writing tickets that aren't clear cut.
If they pull you over for not having the wipers on...it's easy to say they were on "intermittent" mode and you just missed it.
Likewise, lights on during rain...how heavy do the sprinkles have to be before the lights must come on? If it was 2-3 drops, you could claim you thought it was a couple bugs splattered.
Driving in the left lane suffers a similar problem as it's not a clear easily definable thing the officer can measure like speeds. - Dave_H_MExplorer II:R relax, nothing is gonna change.
- JIMNLINExplorer IIII can't count the times I got behind a C.R.England OTR passing a Swift OTR at 63-65 mph for 17.6 miles on a interstate...up the hill and down the hill and on the flats one gains and then the other. I see this is a big complaint even on OOIDA forums/other trucking forums.
They pass a law against it but like tailgating/speeding/reckless aggressive/red light running/etc driving not much enforcement. - ExpyinflightExplorerHave you driven in Arizona lately?? Plenty of left lane road hogs.

Did you ever just cruise up the right lane with the cruise control on and come up behind a slower vehicle, swing out to pass only to have that sucker attain your speed and hold you out there? I have it happen frequently and it is wonderful that now I can be fined for minding my own business.
So put our foot in it get around him and pull ahead of him a ways. Then pull back over into the right lane and reset your cruse where you wanted to be at.
Of course there is nothing to keep him from slowly crawling up on you and then getting himself stuck in the right lane next to you. I have had that happen . Then I have to keep pulling up all the time. It is very frustrating to say the least. - CavemanCharlieExplorer III

Left lane driving is extremely common and somewhat annoying. But, I'd rather they put about a $1000 fine on the huge percentage of the population that doesn't seem to know that when they come down an entrance ramp they are supposed to actually look and time themselves in instead of blindly coming down the ramp and assuming everyone can or should get out of their way. A number of times I've had drivers somehow not see my 40' motorhome and almost pull off the ramp right into me and I couldn't get over because of traffic on the other side of me. :M

Those morons dont remember the part of the driving test that said merge smoothly. They believe you are supposed to get out of their way. They ride along side my 63 feet of rig until they are on the shoulder then drop back and accelerate the way they could have and go flying around me on the left. Unbelievable number of idiots out there.
You know you could take the cruse control off and slow done 2 MPH and let the guy merge in front of you. Courtesy goes both ways. - wnjjExplorer II

Driving 2 or 3 States away you can look in your mirrors and see them coming sitting in the left lane. Yup Minnesota plates. So many drivers from small rural communities that just aren't familiar with freeway driving..

A couple of years ago my buddy travelled from Oregon to NY. He’d text comments back a couple of times a day.
His first text when he entered MN: “Minnesota is old guys in Buicks driving under the speed limit.” He likely noticed them in the left lane the most. - Dance_ChickExplorerOur BIL is the one driving in the left lane with a long line behind him. It was frustrating and embarrassing for us to be in his car with him on a trip. Now when we're traveling and we see someone holding up traffic in the left lane, we say, "Oh, there goes Larry."
